Pacheco Street Water Main Installation

Project Overview:

This project upgraded the domestic water system for homes in San Francisco’s Forest Hill neighborhood.

Work included installing 8,000 LF of new 8” and 12” water mains, 16 ADA-compliant curb ramps, and repaving 14 blocks.

Strategic Approach:

Utility Installation & Community Coordination:

  • Installed dual water mains with minimal impact in a high-density residential area.

  • Managed traffic control and detours to maintain resident access and minimize delays.

Coordination with Public Agencies:

  • Worked closely with SFMTA to safely de-energize overhead lines along an active bus route.

  • Scheduled construction windows to reduce disruption to public transportation services.

Excavation & Surface Restoration:

  • Navigated complex utility corridors and preserved neighborhood aesthetics.

  • Delivered high-quality paving and ADA improvements in compliance with city standards.
